1. Scope of this policy

This policy covers technova-industries.com — the marketing pages, the blog, the contact form and the demo request form. It applies to visitors of the website, not to the operational data processed inside a Nova Vision deployment.

Data captured by Nova Vision in your facilities (camera frames, sensor readings, label extractions, verification events) is processed on your behalf under your Technova service agreement and data processing agreement, not under this policy. Section 11 summarises how that works.

Technova Industries, 1025 Lombardi Ave, Green Bay, WI 54304, United States, is the controller of the personal information described here.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form — your name, business email, company and the message you write.
  • Demo request form — your full name, company, business email, and optionally your phone number, your role and the use case you want to see.
  • Direct emails — anything you send to hello@technova-industries.com or to a Technova employee.

These submissions reach our team as an email sent through Azure Communication Services. We do not build a visitor profile from them, and this website has no visitor accounts, no login and no payment processing.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical logs produced by our hosting platform — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, response status. They exist to keep the site running and to detect abuse.
  • Analytics events, only if you accept optional cookies — pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser category, and a few interactions such as clicking an email link or submitting a form.

What we do not collect

  • No advertising or retargeting pixels, and no cross-site tracking of any kind.
  • No special categories of data such as health, biometrics or political opinions.
  • No sale of personal information, and no sharing of it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

3. Cookies and local storage

The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or decline optional cookies. Analytics stay disabled until you accept, and you can change your mind at any time through the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of any page.

Strictly necessary — always active

  • NEXT_LOCALE — remembers whether you read the site in English or French. Set when you switch language.
  • technova-analytics-consent — your cookie choice, kept in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Optional — only after you accept

  • Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) — measures our audience and how the pages are used, so we can improve them. Google consent mode is set to denied by default and switched to granted only once you accept.

Declining optional cookies does not restrict any part of the site.

4. How we use your information

  • To answer your message, prepare a demo and follow up on your request.
  • To run the demo you asked for and discuss whether Nova Vision fits your operation.
  • To keep the website secure, available and free of abuse.
  • To understand which content is useful and improve our pages and articles — with your consent, through analytics.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

We do not use what you submit through this website to train artificial intelligence models, and we make no automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

5. AI features on this website

Blog illustrations may be produced with an image model (MAI-Image-2.6) reached through Azure API Management. Only Technova staff can trigger a generation, from the authenticated editor behind /admin, and the only input sent to the model is the prompt written by the editor.

No visitor data, form submission or analytics event is ever sent to an image or language model by this website.

6. Legal bases (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

  • Consent — optional analytics cookies. You may withdraw it at any time, which does not affect processing already carried out.
  • Legitimate interests — replying to your enquiry, running demos, securing the site, and communicating about our products with business contacts.
  • Legal obligation — keeping records where the law requires it.
  • Pre-contractual steps — handling a demo request that may lead to an agreement.

7. Who we share information with

We never sell your data. We share it only with the providers we need to run the site, and only for that purpose:

  • Microsoft Azure — hosting (Azure Container Apps, East US region), article storage (Azure Blob Storage), transactional email (Azure Communication Services), identity for our internal editor (Microsoft Entra ID), and the image generation gateway (Azure API Management).
  • Google — Google Analytics 4, and only if you accepted optional cookies.
  • Professional advisers — lawyers, accountants and auditors bound by confidentiality, when needed.
  • Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose, or to establish or defend legal claims.
  • A successor entity — if Technova is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you where required.

8. International transfers

Our website infrastructure runs in the United States (Azure East US). If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your information is transferred to the United States and processed there.

For those transfers we rely on the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, and the UK Addendum where applicable, concluded with our providers, together with the technical measures described in section 10.

9. How long we keep it

  • Contact and demo messages — kept in our business mailbox and CRM for up to 24 months after our last exchange, or for the duration of the commercial relationship if one begins.
  • Technical logs — a short operational window, typically 30 days.
  • Analytics data — up to 14 months, following the retention setting of our Google Analytics property.
  • Your cookie choice — until you change it or clear your browser storage.

When a retention period ends, the data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

10. Security

  • All traffic to this site is encrypted in transit with TLS.
  • API keys and connection strings live server-side only, as secrets injected at deployment — never in the browser.
  • The editorial console at /admin is restricted to Technova staff through Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on.
  • Storage accounts follow least-privilege access, and no visitor personal data is kept in the article store.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you and the competent authorities as required by law.

11. Nova Vision deployments

When Nova Vision runs in your facility, Technova acts as a processor — a service provider under US state privacy laws — and handles data only on your documented instructions, under a data processing agreement. Nova Vision can be deployed entirely on-premise inside your network, in which case operational data never leaves your infrastructure.

Nova Vision reads what happens to goods and equipment: labels, pallets, containers, seals, temperatures, dock and yard movements. It is not a facial recognition system, it does not generate biometric identifiers, and we do not use it to identify individuals or to score their productivity.

Camera frames may incidentally include personnel. That footage is processed only for the verification purpose agreed with our customer, and its retention is set by the customer's configuration.

If you work for a Technova customer and want to exercise your rights over such footage, contact your employer — they are the controller. We support them in responding.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you, and obtain a copy.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your information, subject to our legal retention duties.
  • Receive your information in a portable format, or have it sent to another controller.
  • Object to or restrict processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Write to hello@technova-industries.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We reply within 30 days — 45 days for requests under US state privacy laws, extendable once where allowed — and we may ask for information to verify your identity. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorisation.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority or, in the United States, with your state Attorney General.

13. Children

This website addresses industrial and logistics professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices, our providers or the law change. The date at the top of the page always reflects the current version, and we flag material changes on this page before they take effect.
